Mid–Senior Python Backend Developer

Job Description We are looking for a Mid–Senior Python Backend Developer (2.5+yoe)  to design, develop, and operate reliable serverless applications on Microsoft Azure . The role focuses on building event-driven services with Azure Functions, designing robust queue-based workflows, and ensuring reliable failure handling and operational readiness. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Azure Functions . Design and implement queue-based architectures for asynchronous and event-driven processing. Design reliable message processing flows, including retry mechanisms, dead-letter handling, idempotency, and message failure scenarios . Analyze potential system failures and design appropriate exception handling and recovery strategies . Design application flows with reliability, scalability, and maintainability in mind. Define operations and monitoring approaches for production systems, including logging, alerting, health checks, and failure tracking. Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement corrective solutions. Develop unit/integration tests and ensure backend services meet functional and reliability requirements. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Prepare technical documentation covering system design, queue flows, exception handling, and operational procedures. Preferred Skills Experience with Azure Service Bus, Storage Queues, Event Grid, or similar messaging services. Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture. Knowledge of observability tools and practices. Experience with CI/CD and cloud deployment. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
