Front End Software Engineer, Media Player

For our client, we are seeking a Front End Software Engineer, Media Player to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will focus on building and refining user-facing experiences that support high-traffic media functionality across web applications. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver polished features, improve performance, and ensure the underlying interfaces and APIs support a seamless experience. The position also involves contributing across the full development lifecycle while helping raise engineering quality and mentoring others on best practices. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $165,000 – $229,000 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to create engaging features Contribute to the entire development cycle: design, develop, test, and launch solutions Design full-stack solutions, optimizing media player interfaces and backend APIs Deliver high-quality results with minimal process overhead and few production bugs Review code and design documents, providing feedback on specifications Work with client and platform engineers to enhance media performance globally Establish best practices and mentor junior engineers for professional growth Qualifications BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of software development experience in general-purpose languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript Experience with API design using GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, or Thrift Strong organizational and task prioritization skills Excellent communication skills in a remote work environment Benefits Comprehensive healthcare benefits and income replacement programs 401k with employer match Global benefit programs for workspace, development, and caregiving support Family planning support Gender-affirming care Mental health and coaching benefits Flexible vacation and paid volunteer time off Generous paid parental leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
