Description

AP Executive Staffing is hiring an Associate Product Design Engineer for our customer, a highly respected global manufacturer of highly engineered, precision solutions across the aerospace, defense, energy, industrial and medical industries. From concept through production, the Associate Product Design Engineer will work alongside a highly experienced engineering team to support design, development, testing and continuous improvement of precision-engineered products and components while gaining exposure to customer-driven engineering, manufacturing processes, and product validation. Key responsibilities include: Assisting design and development complex engineering products and components Collaborate with CAD Designers to develop detailed engineering drawings and BOMs Collaborate to understand production capabilities, assembly processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles Develop product specifications that satisfy customer requirements and project objectives Design components for fit, form, function, manufacturability, and performance Participate in customer discussions to help define new product requirements Research, analyze, prototype, test, and validate new product concepts and improvements. Assist with engineering documentation throughout the product development lifecycle Apply engineering principles, material selection, and analysis to support design decisions. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales through project execution Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 Salary/year Skill/Experience requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 1 year experience using 2D and 3D CAD software via coursework, internships co-op or professional experience. Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including mechanics of materials and material selection. Familiarity with engineering analysis concepts, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or stress analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Skill/Experience preferences: Internship or co-op experience in product design or manufacturing. Exposure to mechanical product development. Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
