About NetLaw NetLaw is a secure online estate planning platform designed to seamlessly connect financial advisors, their clients, and estate planning attorneys. The Opportunity We are seeking a Frontend Developer to help build and enhance a modern estate planning platform serving clients, attorneys, and support teams. This role will focus on developing responsive, user-friendly web applications and reusable UI components that simplify complex legal and financial workflows. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enjoys building clean and maintainable front-end architecture, and is comfortable working in a modern component-based environment. Our platform uses Web Components and the Lit framework. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end features for a web-based estate planning platform. Build reusable and scalable UI components using Web Components and Lit. Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces across devices and browsers. Collaborate with back-end developers, product stakeholders, and leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented front-end code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end development standards. Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns. Optimize applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and overall user experience. What Success Looks Like Delivers high-quality front-end features on schedule. Builds reusable components that support platform scalability. Contributes to a responsive, accessible, and intuitive user experience. Maintains strong collaboration with cross-functional team members. Demonstrates consistent ownership, accountability, and technical growth. Required Technical Skills 2+ years of professional front-end development experience. Hands-on experience building production web applications. Strong understanding of semantic HTML5 and modern web standards. Strong CSS skills, including responsive design, Flexbox, CSS Grid, and maintainable styling patterns. Strong JavaScript skills, including ES6+, asynchronous programming, modules, events, and DOM manipulation. Experience building interactive, component-based user interfaces. Experience consuming REST APIs and working with client-side data. Familiarity with Git-based development workflows. Ability to troubleshoot browser rendering issues and cross-browser compatibility concerns. Ability to debug, test, and optimize front-end code for performance and maintainability. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or distributed team environment. Highly Preferred Experience with Web Components in a production environment. Experience with Lit framework (Lit.dev). Experience building reusable design systems or component libraries. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD workflows. Experience working remotely with distributed development teams.
