Description

Title: Sr. Software Engineer – Developer Experience Location: Austin, TX Experience & Expertise 5+ years of professional software development experience with a solid foundational understanding of both frontend and backend systems. Hands-on experience building clean, interactive web user interfaces using React, paired with strong proficiency in Node.js and Python for building APIs, microservices, and infrastructure automation. Working knowledge of core AWS services, including compute/orchestration (Amazon EKS, Lambda) and storage/security (S3, IAM policies, roles, and security boundaries). Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation templates to provision cloud architecture. Preferred: Experience with Backstage, NestJS, REST/GraphQL, and basic CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, CircleCI). Technical Skills Framework & Frontend: Backstage (Software Catalog & Developer Platform), React. Languages & Backend: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Node.js, NestJS, REST/GraphQL. Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM), Terraform, CloudFormation. Governance & Monitoring: AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail. Tools & CI/CD: AI Coding Assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf), GitHub Actions, CircleCI.
