Description

FULL STACK ENGINEER — JUNIOR/MID MpireFi | Orlando, FL — | Full-time | ~2–4 years experience We build software that mortgage brokerages and loan officers run their business on. Small team, modern stack, and a product people actually use all day — which means what you build shows up in someone's workflow within the week, not next quarter. THE ROLE You'll work across the whole thing: React on the front, Cloud Functions and Firestore on the back, React Native for mobile. Real features, start to finish, with a lot of say in how they turn out. We're small enough that you won't be handed pixel-perfect tickets — you'll get context and a goal and figure out the rest, with plenty of help. We also lean hard on AI tooling. Claude Code is part of how we work every day, and we'll cover whatever tools help you move faster. If you're already building this way, you'll fit right in. If you're curious but new to it, we'll get you there — it's a genuinely useful skill to learn. STACK TypeScript throughout. React 18, Vite, Tailwind, Radix/shadcn, TanStack Query, Zod on the front end. Firebase — Cloud Functions, Firestore, Auth — on the back. React Native + Expo for mobile. Stripe and Twilio for the money and messaging bits. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Strong TypeScript and React, including a real grip on async state - You've built something and can talk through the decisions you made - Backend comfort — endpoints, auth, a database. Firebase specifically isn't required - You already use AI coding tools, or you're genuinely eager to - You care how things look - Orlando area, and up for being in the office a few days a week Helps, doesn't matter much: Firebase/GCP, React Native, fintech or another regulated space, Stripe/Twilio, design sense Truly don't need: a CS degree, a decade of experience, mortgage knowledge, a big-name company on the résumé HOW WE WORK Flexible hours — we care when things ship, not when you sign on. Hybrid, a few days in the office, the rest wherever you work best. Very few meetings. It's a small, pretty fun group of people who like building things well and don't take themselves too seriously. COMP $85K–$105K base, benefits, hardware, LLMs APPLYING Send a résumé to [email protected] and a few sentences about something you've built that you're proud of. Links to real work beat a cover letter every time. From there: a quick intro call, a technical conversation about your work, a short paired build, and a founder chat.
