Description

Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber. We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers. We're hiring Product Engineers to join a small, high-ownership product team in our London office. You won't be handed fully-specced tickets: you'll own features end to end, from customer-facing product to internal tools, including shipping consumer-facing AI features into production, working alongside a tight team of web and mobile engineers. Our infrastructure and backend are already excellent; we're looking for product engineers who bring the same bar of craft and ownership. Responsibilities Build dynamic UI. AI composes a different experience for each customer from the components you build, and there's no established pattern to follow Own features end to end, from architecture through to shipped, polished UI Make AI native to the product rather than a chat window stapled to the side Craft the interfaces our quants use to make high stakes trading decisions, where the data never arrives in a shape you predicted Work closely with our backend engineers and designers. You'll be the spokesperson for the best user experience Set the bar for front end craft. We care how things look and feel, not just whether they work Help define product direction, not just execute it. We want people who dig into the "why", not just the "how" Requirements 5+ years building web applications, deep in TypeScript, React and Next.js. You've stayed hands-on throughout You've worked beneath the front-end abstraction. Modern front-end hides ordering, consistency and partial failure, and we need someone who's had to deal with them directly Demonstrated ownership, able to speak to decisions you drove, not just tasks you completed Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, backend, and mobile Genuinely AI-native. You get real leverage from agents without handing over your judgement We have an office in London, but we hire anywhere in the world Benefits Competitive salary and eligibility for equity Biannual bonus scheme Fully expensed tech to match your needs Private health insurance Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees As we hire globally, benefits vary by location.
