Description

Founding Engineer — LORE Vilnius · Hybrid · €5,000/month + generous equity LORE combines cutting-edge technology with the world’s best venues, brands, and curators to make extraordinary experiences effortless to discover, gift, and book. Exceptional experiences exist — but they are fragmented across hundreds of suppliers, rarely listed publicly, and often hidden behind personal networks. In a world where anything can be delivered to your door in seconds, discovering, gifting and booking a truly remarkable experience is still surprisingly hard. LORE launches in NYC on 15th October with the aim of solving these problems. The founders combine deep domain expertise with significant industry relationships, and a history of building and scaling successful businesses. Both were previously part of a $300M acquisition in a similar space. Having just raised our pre-seed round, we are hiring a Founding Engineer to join as our second engineering hire. You will have real ownership from day one and help shape the product, technology and engineering culture as we build LORE from the ground up. The role You’ll work across the full tech stack and own features end-to-end — from understanding the customer problem and shaping the solution to building, shipping, and improving it. We’re looking for someone who is as interested in what should be built and why as they are in how to build it. You will thrive here if you like moving quickly, making decisions, solving ambiguous problems and taking responsibility rather than waiting for a perfectly defined ticket, while also striving for excellence in the products you create. You Strong full-stack engineer, very proficient in TypeScript Have built products or meaningful features from scratch DevOps experience: not afraid to tinker with and improve our CI/CD pipelines and processes Ideally have startup or early-stage experience, or a compatible mindset Highly product-minded with strong instincts for customer experience and user-centric design Comfortable owning work from idea to go-live Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and biased toward shipping Cautious where things are irreversible, fast everywhere else. You optimise for never being surprised the same way twice. Excited by the opportunity to have an outsized impact on a very early company Our tech We use TypeScript across the stack: React Native + Expo for our mobile app, React + Next.js for our website, internal web app, and backend. Well-segmented full-stack Nx monorepo housing our apps and the shared packages, tooling, and docs that power them. Neon PostgreSQL + Drizzle for our data; tRPC for type-safe function-style APIs; Railway for deployments; GitHub Actions for our pipelines; PostHog for analytics, error reporting, and other goodies; Inngest for async durability and observability; Linear for product planning. Biased towards functional, declarative programming paradigms, plus event-driven design for asynchronous flows. Bullish on AI and its capabilities without over-depending on it. While agents are a core part of our engineering capabilities, if AI went down, things might slow down but nothing would stop, neither for our engineering processes, nor for our live apps. Experience in our stack is a plus, willingness to learn (and tell us when we get it wrong) is a must. What we offer €5,000/month gross Generous equity Gym membership included Hybrid working in Vilnius You’ll be joining at the point where a small number of people can have an enormous influence on what the company becomes. You’ll help build not only our products and apps, but also the systems, processes, and culture that will power the company as we grow.
