Senior Frontend Developer | Discovery & Ticketing Platform

Full Time, In-Office Role Versova, Mumbai Experience: 3-6 years Company Overview thumpN is an AI-native discovery and ticketing platform that unifies discovery, ticketing, and on-ground tools for fans, artists, venues, and promoters. We build seamless experiences around live events for every stakeholder in the ecosystem. Role Purpose This role exists to lead the charge on turning product and design ideas into fast, reliable, and delightful experiences across web and mobile. You'll be setting technical direction on the frontend as thumpN expands geographically and into new categories. Key Responsibilities Frontend Development: Lead feature development using React and React Native, owning the architecture decisions behind them Translate ambiguous product requirements and designs into responsive, reusable, high-quality interfaces, often defining the approach for others on the team to follow Build and evolve the reusable components and design systems used across the product Own API integration patterns and work closely with backend teams on contracts and performance Set the bar for handling edge cases and polishing product details Cross-Platform Work Own the consistency and quality of web and mobile experiences Drive optimization for different screen sizes, devices, and network conditions Champion performance, responsiveness, and accessibility as core engineering priorities, not afterthoughts Collaboration Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to shape roadmap and technical approach Lead code reviews, raise the bar on testing, and drive releases Own quality end-to-end from development through launch, and mentor junior frontend developers Required Qualifications 3-6 years building web or mobile applications Strong, production-grade JavaScript and/or TypeScript expertise Deep, hands-on React experience, including performance and architecture decisions Solid React Native experience, or a demonstrated ability to go deep in it quickly Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive design expertise Proven experience with REST APIs and asynchronous data patterns Strong grasp of component-based architecture and judgment on when to introduce abstractions Git and collaborative workflow experience, including leading code reviews Sharp debugging and problem-solving skills across the stack Demonstrated ability to work within and improve large, existing codebases Strong communication and an ownership mindset, comfortable driving decisions Preferred Qualifications Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, React Query) at scale Experience building or maintaining component libraries or design systems Frontend performance optimization experience in production Familiarity with analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude) Experience integrating multiple third-party services Background in consumer products, marketplaces, or ticketing platforms Exposure to AI products Experience mentoring other engineers A passion for live entertainment Core Competencies (Non-Negotiables) We're looking for candidates who demonstrate product-focused thinking beyond code, strong attention to detail in UX, ownership through testing and edge cases, a mentoring mindset, strong fundamentals in clean code and accessibility, clear communication across departments, and a real commitment to building user-centric experiences.
