About the Role: Job Title: Web Platform Engineer Location: Oslo, Norway Hybrid Mode of Work: Hybrid 2 or 3 Days Onsite per week Type of Hiring: Employment Contract Description : Experience as a Software Engineer or Platform Engineer, building and operating production systems at scale. Strong expertise in modern web development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Deep understanding of full-stack web architecture, including server-rendered applications, APIs, authentication and authorization, performance optimization, caching, debugging, profiling, and observability. Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, together with modern DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices. Experience building shared platforms, developer tooling, libraries, or self-service capabilities that enable other engineering teams. The ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and design solutions that remain maintainable as technologies and requirements evolve. Responsibilities: Design, build, and evolve the shared capabilities that power our company’s web platform. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape platform direction and technical strategy. Take ownership of complex technical problems from design through implementation and production. Design scalable architectures spanning APIs, databases, caches, queues, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems. Build self-service platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop and deploy independently. Continuously improve developer experience through tooling, automation, libraries, and CI/CD. Evaluate technical trade-offs and make pragmatic decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability. Collaborate across teams to build reusable platform capabilities that solve common engineering challenges. Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
