About the Role As an SDE-1 at Everyday Labs , you will join a high-leverage engineering initiative designed to architect and deploy advanced technical solutions for the company’s most critical challenges. What the role entails: Learning about Fintech Building and maintaining services, APIs and features - on a stack that consists mainly of Python, BigQuery and SQL Writing the background jobs that keep our data in sync, and the internal dashboards the squad uses to run the business Taking your work all the way through - tested, reviewed, verified on staging, and working in production Working with internal and external partners on integrations What we're looking for: Strong problem solving skills - you break a vague, messy problem into steps and work it through instead of stalling Readable code - clear names, obvious structure, code that explains itself Robust code - you think about the empty list, the missing value, the duplicate run, not just the happy path Strong SQL - joins, aggregation, indexing, and a sense of what makes a query expensive Debugging - you trace problems to the source instead of guessing Ownership - you take responsibility and see things through Testing your own work before calling it done Reading code before writing it, so what you add fits the codebase it lands in Clear written English - most of our coordination is written Why join us?
