We specialize in creating gamified experiences that students love and empowering educators by giving them tools to create meaningful learning opportunities in and outside of their classrooms. If that sounds like you, we’d love to build together! Your Role We want to create a sitewide experience that is easy and welcoming for our students and teachers. You’ll play a big role in making that happen. Here are some things you’ll be doing: Develop web pages using React, Next.js, Typescript, and CSS Design UI/UX for new and existing pages Work with other developers to integrate UI with backend functionality Test and optimize user interfaces Conduct experiments to find optimal page layouts Maintain the Blooket brand-identity through fun and interesting interfaces What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who has a deep understanding of frontend development, specifically with Next.js. You’ll have to have a creative side that ensures the site looks visually pleasing, while also maintaining a good user experience and implementing it through code. To help ensure you can handle this, here are some qualifications: At least 5 years in a Frontend Development focused role A deep understanding of React, Next.js, Typescript, and CSS Strong knowledge of Next.js’s server-side rendering A keen eye for details in user experience Creative and design skills to develop beautiful interfaces from scratch Portfolio of some relevant projects and designs Experience with containerized environments and build tools Experience building out shared frontend components and tools Strong knowledge of frontend technologies and passion to stay updated Excellent organizational and communication skills Excitement about the impact your work could have on the lives of students and teachers every day Bonus: Passion for games Benefits & Compensation Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $140,000- $240,000 depending on work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process. 21 vacation days Remote Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance Employer-sponsored 401k plan Working with a small team where you can immediately see your impact
