Senior Java Developer – Payments & Integration (Icon Solutions IPF) 💰 £400 per day (Inside IR35) |📍 London, UK (2 Days Onsite) 📅 6 Month Contract We're looking for experienced Senior Java Developers with strong Icon Solutions IPF (Integration Payments Framework) expertise to join a major payments transformation programme within the financial services sector. You'll help design and build next-generation payment platforms supporting high-volume, mission-critical payment services including Faster Payments, CHAPS, SEPA, SWIFT and ISO 20022 . As a Senior Java Developer, you'll design, develop and enhance enterprise payment applications using Java, Spring Boot and Icon Solutions IPF , delivering scalable, resilient integration services supporting both domestic and international payment processing. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain payment applications using Icon Solutions IPF Build Java microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot Develop payment workflows supporting Faster Payments, CHAPS, SEPA, SWIFT and ISO 20022 Create reusable APIs and enterprise integration services Configure payment routing, orchestration, validation and message transformation Collaborate with Solution Architects on scalable application design Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level 3 support Contribute to Agile ceremonies and CI/CD delivery pipelines Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory and compliance requirements Essential Skills 8+ years Java development experience Java 8/11/17 Spring Boot & Spring Framework REST APIs & Microservices Maven or Gradle Git Hands-on experience with Icon Solutions IPF (Integration Payments Framework) Payment workflow orchestration Payment routing, validation and reconciliation Strong Payments domain experience Payments experience in one or more of: Faster Payments (FPS) CHAPS SWIFT MT/MX SEPA ISO 20022 BACS Cross-border payments Payment Hubs Please apply with your CV and we'll be in touch.
