The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, Django, and asynchronous programming, along with hands-on experience in cloud-native development, containerization, and DevOps practices. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, system design, and hands-on coding, with ownership of end-to-end backend delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django Build high-performance systems leveraging asynchronous programming (async/await, asyncio etc.) Architect and implement RESTful APIs Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability Lead technical design discussions and mentor junior developers Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, Product) Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps workflows Work with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and testing Participate in code reviews and drive engineering standards Required Skills & Qualifications Core Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Python backend development Extensive experience with Django / Django REST Framework Hands-on expertise in asynchronous programming in Python asyncio, aiohttp, FastAPI or equivalent frameworks Deep understanding of REST APIs Cloud & DevOps Strong experience with: Docker / containerization Kubernetes (K8s) Hands-on experience with: Helm charts creation and deployment CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) System Design & Architecture Experience designing scalable, distributed systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana) Prior experience leading teams or acting as a technical lead Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to mentor and guide teams Ownership mindset with a focus on quality and delivery Core Skills: • Security & PKI: Expertise in TLS certificate validation, Public/Private key generation and application signature verification using client-side PKI; implemented secure Mutual TLS (mTLS) communication between client and server systems. • Edge Device Lifecycle Management: Hands-on experience with atomic and full system updates, including kernel upgrades; designed and implemented A/B partitioning strategies integrated with secure boot for reliable and fail-safe deployments. • OTA & Device Management: led implementation of Over-The-Air (OTA) update frameworks for edge devices using open-source platforms like Mender; enabled package version control and inventory management across distributed edge environments. • Develop and maintain Python-based applications for edge devices (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, ARM-based systems, etc.) • Experience in developing for edge device software Security & PKI: Expertise in TLS certificate validation, Public/Private key generation and application signature verification using client-side PKI; implemented secure Mutual TLS (mTLS) communication between client and server systems. • Built and optimized device-side services for data collection, preprocessing, and communication • Develop containerized applications (Docker) for edge deployment • Edge Device Lifecycle Management: Hands-on experience with atomic and full system updates, including kernel upgrades; designed and implemented A/B partitioning strategies integrated with secure boot for reliable and fail-safe deployments. • OTA & Device Management: led implementation of Over-The-Air (OTA) update frameworks for edge devices using open-source platforms like Mender; enabled package version control and inventory management across distributed edge environments.
